I have an angel who guards me through the night
making sure I feel comfort in a time of fright
Giving me the security of being protected and safe
this angel of mine comes from a familiar place
To keep me company upon awaking for each new day
my angel is always beside me when I kneel to pray
Showing me beauty through my very own eyes
especially when I look upward into the skies
Letting me know that my sorrows are their gentle tears
giving me strength to continue through more on coming years
Managing to show me the kindness of a true heart
knowing my angel has been there from the start
I have an angel sent to me from my God above
to share with me the many joys of our tender love
My angel will be my eternal and loving friend
the one to share my hopes, dreams and love through the end
Although there is no real end in a loving heart
the worldly love of me and my angel will someday part
But our hearts will carry on wings of a dove
a heaven sent bonding lasting eternally in Love!!!
